Subsets of Alternatives

Post by paulc »

Hello,

Apologies if this has been covered before, but I have check the past posts and manual to no avail.

I have an experiment with 11 labeled alternatives, I would like to only show a random subset of these alternatives to respondents as to not overburden them. Is the functionality to generate an experiment design that can do this available on NGENE.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi Paul

What you are after is called an availability design. This function is not currently in the release version of Ngene. If you contact me directly, I might be able to help you however.

Hello again all,

Just wondering if anyone is still able to help with the set up an availability design? I've not been able to get a response from John via email (which is understandable as I know how busy he must be). I do understand this this function is not currently available on NGENE, but any and all advice regarding writing the code to generate such a design would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Paul
