Hi,
I want to make sure my NGENE code produces the exact same designs everytime i run the code. I was thinking that there would be an option to set a seed (e.g. for the swap algorithm to find the starting design and do the randomisation) but cannot find anything on that in the manual or the forum. Maybe I overlooked something?
Thank you so much
Kind regards,
Julian

Re: Making the design generation reproducable
Hi Julian,
There is currently no option to set the seed for the design generation algorithms as this is not something that is usually needed. But I guess in your case you want to have exactly the same design when you use the exact same number of iterations. I will put it on our future features list, but that will unfortunately not help you now.

Thanks a lot! Yes, this would be what I need.
My idea was to use the same start design (I used an orthogonal), but that also did not help.
Anyways, looking forward to this feature in the next release.
Kind rgds,
Julian
