Re: Use of generic or alternative specific parameters

Dear Michiel

Thank you for that feedback. I had not thought of model averaging within a logit model type (RPL). That seems to me the way forward.

I am will be using the logit model for forecasting market shares so there is no absolute reason for using AS parameters for the attributes.

Use of generic or alternative specific parameters

Dear Michiel and Andrew

I have just completed a pilot survey and about to undertake the design for the main survey. My question relates to the use of generic parameters where the alternatives have different attribute levels.

For my pilot design I assumed alternative specific parameters where ...

Re: Exporting diagnostic output from NGENE

Dear Andrew

Thanks for that I should have tried Ctrl +C.

I have been trying to get the copy function to work or Ctrl+insert (my usual keystroke in Word)

Efficient design and eliminating silly alternatives

Dear All

The purpose of my SC model is to simulate the purchase of electric vehicles in NZ over a period of time taking into account declining costs and improving vehicle performance (e.g. range and speed).

Re: Large experimental designs

Dear Andrew

I feel that I will be popping up here frequently over the next few months.

The purpose of my experiment is to forecast choice shares of different types of new vehicle technologies as prices change and technical performance improves over time. As I have mentioned in an earlier post ...

Re: Large experimental designs

Dear Andrew

Thank you for your kind offer and I appreciate it a lot. I may impose on your time in the future, but at this time I would like to persevere at little longer before I start bothering you or John.

Just to give you some more background on my intentions. I want to estimate an rp panel ...

Re: Large experimental designs

Dear Andrew

No current number of invalid designs stays on 0. The only indication that anything is happening is that in the session history panel the status is given as running and the same at the bottom left corner.

I have managed to get some progress with 3 alternatives and 4 attributes (but the ...
