Dear all,
I want to refer to Ngene software in my paper as I used it to produce my CE designs. I would appreciate if I get the right reference for it. With thanks!
Kind regards

Re: Alternative repetitions across choice tasks
Dear Michiel
Thank you for the swift response. As you can see alternative 1 in choice task is repeated in choice task 4 as alternative 2. Also alternative 2 in choice task 1 is repeated in choice task 12 as alternative 1. There are also other similar cases in the design.

Alternative repetitions across choice tasks
Dear Michiel/ Andrew,
I am trying to generate the following design which also includes interaction effect. I got the priors from a pilot survey. At least three alternatives are repeated in different choice sets (not within choice sets). I was trying to figure our why this is happening but I am ...

Re: Effects coding
Dear Michiel,
I really thank you very much - you really help me resolve this problem which otherwise would be catastrophic
Kind regards
Mohammed

Re: Effects coding
Ok Michiel but I am a little bit confused. Why do we include the - 1 in the data if we don't estimate a parameter for them. For instance, this is what I did when I enter the data to excel: Imagine the following choice set
Option 1 Option 2
Nutritional value Average Low
Food safety control Very ...

Re: Effects coding
Hi Michiel,
Thank you very much for your response. I get your message but even if they are in the data we don't estimate a parameter for the base level which is denoted as -1,-1, right?
Kind regards

Re: Insignificant priors
I am sorry for some silly questions but running the above syntax yields some overlapping levels in four to five scenarios (especially for nut and fsafe attributes). I guess this might be related to the priors but those fixed priors are obtained from the pilot survey.

Re: Insignificant priors
And note that the insignificant variables are recom and locate, and it is only for these attributes I used Bayesian distribution, the rest are fixed as they are significant.

Insignificant priors
Dear Ngene users,
We have conducted a pilot survey and estimated an MNL model. The results seem fine but five of the 11 estimated parameters are highly insignificant. I know that data from pilot studies most likely lead to insignificant estimates but the problem is whether to use them as priors or ...
