Yes thats right.I rechecked.Thank you.
1)If the pilot study doesn’t give significant coefficients or does not converge or very large standard errors, can we still use zero priors for the main study? would that lower the efficiency of the results?
Note: I didn’t set any restrictions between speed ...

Re: post-pilot parameters
I looked at the construction of the ''choice'' variable as you suggested and could not find the error. After reshaping, I constructed an 'alt' variable in a new column that just lists two unlabelled alternatives one after the other, twice for each RID facing 8 choice tasks each, and then a 'choice ...

Re: post-pilot parameters
In this case, as we had less time, went on with our main survey without specifying the priors (as last time in pilot they did not come as significant coeffs)
The data received of the main survey was in two parts, wide form Choice data(2 blocks, 8 tasks, 2 alt, 7 attributes with 2/3/4 levels) and 2nd ...

post-pilot parameters
Hello Prof ! We got data from 100 people pilot study, so next step was to find out the parameters to use them in the equation for finding the correct sample size required for main study.
For reaching there, I used the mnl model equation on this data as :
mlogit choice i.AttribA i.AttribB i.AttribC ...

Re: NGENE and Survey Engine
Thanks for the guidance Professor ! I could succesfully run the DCE for pilot and get a d-error of 0.15 which I hope is acceptable.
1) Is there any good way to check if any of my 48 choice tasks from this matrix I imported to SE from NGene , have got any dominant alternatives at all? Or would there ...

Re: NGENE and Survey Engine
Thank you, I have checked with Svy Engine, they said it should not be a problem, just to treat the variable codes later during estimation phase matching with how its coded in dictionary.
We have a doubt with the three constraints in my code, where I stated that if the speed is slow then price ...

Re: NGENE and Survey Engine
Thank you, that was very helpful. I am trying to look for resources to add such an extra choice task in SEngine.
As I was checking the ''dictionary''section of survey engine , I noticed that all my variables are coded as 1, 2, 3, 4.... and ''Yes'' is coded as 2 and ''no'' as 1. Even for those choice ...

Re: NGENE and Survey Engine
Thank you for the response. It indeed cleared all my listed doubts.
I have a question though, because now I am faced with the decision to choose my design for pilot between these 3 options ( and I am stating the problem in its respective bracket):
a) default swap algorithm with zero priors and ...

NGENE and Survey Engine
Good Afternoon,
I have a subscription of both NGENE and Survey Engine. Ideally I wanted to design my DCE in ngene first and then import the xl-template to Survey engine. Please look at my ngene commands below:
design
;alts = opt1*, opt2*
;eff = (mnl, d)
;alg = swap
;rows = 42
;block = 6
;cond ...
