Hi,
I have an Ngene design which I need to get into Qualtrics. I usually do it manually, but I was wondering if anyone has any R script to format it into Qualtrics requirements, and then into html script? Or if there are other non-manual ways of doing it?
Thanks,
Amber

dummy or continuous
Hi,
I am writing the code for the experimental design in Ngene. I am two numerical variables: sensitivity and frequency of screening (years). As I don't know whether these attributes will be continuous linear variables in the final model, is it more appropriate to code them as categorical (dummy ...

Unexpected priors
Hi,
I’m working on an experimental design and have completed a pilot study with 100 participants to obtain priors for a D-efficient design. For one of the attributes, the coefficient was unexpectedly negative. This coefficient was also not significant, at a p-value of 0.005.
For the final design ...

Re: No screening option and dummy coding
Or should I be coding the no screening attibute values as -999?

No screening option and dummy coding
Hello!
I am in the process of analysing the pilot data from a DCE, to give me information on priors for the experimental design.
The DCE contains 3 alternatives: program A, program B and no screening. I have a categorical variable 'conditions covered', which I have dummy coded: (1) lots of ...

Opt-out experimental design
Hi,
Thank you for your help on my previous questions! I have found this page very helpful!!
I am conducting a DCE, with the following options: Screening Approach A, Screening Approach B or no screening. I will implement the opt-out using a two-staged approach i.e. (1) all three options presented ...

Re: Min number of choice tasks
Thank you again!!
I have some follow up questions to help me understand the following formula a bit more:
Min number of choice tasks:
S > K/ (J-1)
1. As mentioned above, if I have two choices and an opt out option then J=3. Therefore by adding the opt out option, we are decreasing the minimum ...

Re: Min number of choice tasks
Thank you for your quick response!
I have two follow up questions:
I have 4 attributes with 3 levels, and then 3 attributes with 4 levels. However, one of the attributes is cost (with 4 levels) which I am assuming will be coded as a continuous variable, and I will be using it to estimate WTP ...

Min number of choice tasks
Hi,
For the following formula:
Min number of choice tasks:
S > K/ (J-1)
For J, the number of alternatives, do you include the opt out option? I.e. If included: TxA, TxB, and no Tx, j is equal to 3.
Thank you!
