individual-specific status-quo

Dear colleagues

I have run an unlabelled choice experiment with 2 alternatives + SQ option, 2 attributes A and B + 1 monetary attribute C.
Attribute A has 3 levels, dummy-coded 0, 1, 2
Attribute B has 2 levels:, dummy-coded 0, 1
Attribute C has 5 levels
I asked respondents what are their current ...

Re: Best design if biased pilot sample

Please let me being more precise on the second question

This code, with less information on priors, is running.

Design
;alts=GA*, GB*, SQ
?place an asterisk next to the names to prevent from having i) within choice task alternative repetition, ii) strict attribute level dominance and iii) choice ...

Best design if biased pilot sample

Dear Ngene community,

I have collected priors from a subsample of n=25. However, I am pretty sure this subsample is biased and may be less reluctant towards one of the level (attribute B=1) than the targetted population. What is the best way to deal with that ?

Here is the design I have in mind ...

Re: Problem with bayesian efficient design + mfederov

Dear Michiel
Thanks a lot for your answer. I now understood that bayesian efficient design can be generated based on pilot estimates from MNL.
I have another question
In the bayesian efficient design based on MNL model I have now generated, many of the price (D attribute) and indemnity (C attribute ...

Problem with bayesian efficient design + mfederov

Dear all,
I have read with interest the posts concerning bayesian efficient design and modified federov to add constraints, but I could not find any answer to the following question:
Why can Ngene not find a bayesian efficient design with the following structure ?
Priors are based on RPL estimation ...

What to randomize in priority ?

Dear colleagues

Do you have any advice on what is the more important to randomize across respondent s in DCE ?
- attribute ordering (but each respondant see the same order in every choice task to reduce cognitive burden)
- order of appearance of choice tasks
- order of appearance of alternatives (A ...

Re: when should I stop running ?

Thanks a lot Michiel.
Looking forward to the forthcoming default stopping criterion in Ngene to help us saving energy !

when should I stop running ?

Dear Ngene community
I am running the efficient design below but my question is more general.
According to the manual, "Many syntax runs will execute for a long time or indefinitely. A syntax run can be stopped at any
stage by selecting the Stop menu item.". But it doesn't say when stopping is ...

Re: Status quo levels in discrete choice experiment

Dear Julia and Michiel

I think I have a similar question but I would like to verify I correctly apply Michiel's recommandation

I have an unlabelled experiment, with 2 alternatives + opt-out option (= no insurance).
For only one of the attribute (A), the level of the status quo is also a level ...

Re: independance between monetary attributes

Thank you so much for your fast, precise and reinsuring answer (5 days from launching data collection !).
I will take into account your advice when estimating WTP
Best regards,
Marianne
