Dear Michael,
Apologies for the delay in replying to this, I have been away and only getting back to my project now. I have tried to run the design with the extra syntax :
;eval = design.ngd
;rdraws = gauss(1)
;rep = 100
However, it says 'error eval property could not be opened' I have saved ...

Re: Running efficient designs with priors of 0
Hi Michiel,
Thanks so much for your help! I am slowly getting the hang of the code. However I was just wondering if you could tell me what you think of this code in regards to:
1. What variables would require .dummy prefix? I noticed that adding .dummy increases the D-error so I am not sure if I ...

Simulations in Ngene
Hi,
I have been advised to run some simulations first before finalising the design of the DCE, so was wondering does Ngene have this capacity? I was reading the manual and found some info on 'random draws' is this the same thing?
Regards,
Melanie

Re: Running efficient designs with priors of 0
Thanks Michiel,
I noticed you have put [0] after the priors but am unclear what this means? also what is the difference with [0|0]? is this a dummy and when would a dummy be indicated over [0]?
Also, my understanding is that priors are essentially data on the mean and standard deviation? but our ...

Re: Running efficient designs with priors of 0
Thanks so much Michiel!
I was wondering does each new attribute need to have a different prior? eg, for the syntax below I should be labelling the priors in the (alt2) row as b1, b2, b3, b4 still or since these correspond to different attributes as in (alta) row have I labelled these correctly? I ...

Running efficient designs with priors of 0
Hi there,
We have a design set up but without any priors established, as we do not know what these should be, nor do we understand priors in terms of direction. I understand to progress with the design we need to run it with priors so I was wondering can we assume they are 0 at this stage? How ...

syntax for full factorial designs
Hi There,
We have designed a DCE with six attributes with 2 levels each and 2 attributes with four levels each (8 attributes in total) and an opt out option. Now we need to run the full factorial in Ngene. It took me awhile to work out the correct code, but I finally came back with something which ...

Error message help
Hi there,
I keep getting the error message; Error: The 'model' property contains a prior that has an unknown random distribution type. '-1,-2' and do not know what is wrong with my syntax to fix this??

Generating a full factorial
Hi there,
I am very new to Ngene and am currently designing a DCE. From my understanding I first need to generate a full factorial and although have found the Syntax to do this in the manual I still have a few questions in regards to this:
