Re: Issues running MNL model for forced choices
I forgot to mention that I'm estimating the 'monthly financial benefit' attribute categorically rather than continuously because the latter returns a parameter of -0.00 for both forced and unforced choices. When categorical, the parameters reveal a more interesting pattern (higher preference for ...

Issues running MNL model for forced choices
Hi there,
I am using Nlogit to estimate the employment preferences of community health workers. The survey instrument included 5 attributes (supervision format; training frequency; monthly financial benefit; recognition format; and employment structure) and we included an unforced choice (i.e ...

Re: Weak DCE results - seeking review
Great, thanks for your ideas Michiel.
We had a reasonably large sample (~400) so I hope a mixed or latent class model may provide further answers.

Weak DCE results - seeking review
Hi there,
I designed and conducted a DCE with health workers in Indonesia to assess their employment preferences. Unfortunately, when analysing the results in Nlogit using a MNL model, the attribute coefficients are all weak negatives (for both unforced and forced questions). I've copied the ...

Re: Seeking review of efficient design
Hi Michiel,
Thanks for your helpful reply - I mistakenly posted past Nlogit results hence the confusion around the priors used.
Could I also please ask whether we should evaluate incentive as a continuous or categorical attribute in Nlogit? I note that the priors estimated don't vary much between ...

Seeking review of efficient design
Hi there,
I am in the process of designing a DCE to assess the employment/incentive preferences of community health workers in a low-income country in South East Asia. If possible, it would be really helpful to hear feedback from an experienced analyst about our design. We have 5 attributes, 3 ...
