Hello,
I'm writing to ask a question why the code does not run with * for an alternative.
I have 5 attributes and 2 constraints. I wanted to avoid pairing 0, 1 of attribute B with 2, 3 of attribute A.
I ran the following code and didn't run. So I removed * from altB and it started running ...

Re: Heterogeneous design w/ status quo and constraints
Dear Michiel,
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback.
I agreed that ;require should be replaced with ;cond and the utility specifications for the 'none' alternative should be consistent across the alternatives.
I ended up creating 8 different design files separately as I was unable to handle the 8 ...

Heterogeneous design w/ status quo and constraints
Hello,
I'm writing to seek advice on the best approach.
To provide background on the attributes/levels:
Within the DCE, respondents will be presented with choices between “current treatment” and two unlabelled medicines.
1. Device : [0]device1, [1]device2, [2]device3, [3]device4 - dummy
2. Inj ...

Re: Interactions with continuous variables
Thank you, Michiel, for your thorough response. I'm learning more about the priors as I develop the syntax for this study, thanks to your feedback.
I need to change the priors again based on the literature review.
- reducing the time to 'sleep' by 1 min is worth about 2 * reducing time 'awake' by 1 ...

Re: Dummy coded 7 attributes, 3 alt including status quo
Hi,
I am writing with a query regarding the change made in the design. My team has decided to add interaction terms with a new variable 'bmeta.' We are wondering if the presence of bone metastasis will affect people's choice. This will be a binary, non-directional interaction term on the 'bm ...

Interactions with continuous variables
Hi,
I am posting my queries regarding an efficient design with interactions. 7 attributes will be included with 3 levels each, except one attribute with 4 levels, as follow.
Att 1: 10, 40, 70 (continuous)
Att 2: 20, 60, 100 (continuous)
Att 3: unimpaired, mild, moderate, extreme (dummy)
Att 4: 0 ...

Re: Dummy coded 7 attributes, 3 alt including status quo
Hello,
I'm writing to ask if I have to re-run the design when I change a level of one of attributes from the design posted on Nov 5.
For the attribute 'MVF,' initially the alternatives trtA and trtB included four levels including the reference level (0 in 1000) while the Standard of Care only ...

Re: Dummy coded 7 attributes, 3 alt including status quo
Thank you very much for your help, Michiel. Ngene is running the design now. While it runs, an error message appears that
Warning: The ':rdraws' property was specified, but no random priors were specified in the models. Defaulting to assigning blocks with the 'minsum' method.
Could this be ignored ...

Dummy coded 7 attributes, 3 alt including status quo
Hello,
I'm writing to ask for advice regarding Ngene codes. This is my first time using Ngene. While this is a challenging task to me, it may be quite dull to most of experts.
The design consists of 3 alternatives (standard of care, treatment A, treatment B) with 7 attributes (bm, aff, hypocalc ...
