Re: Defining attribute as absolute and relative quantity

Michiel,

ok, I will do so!
Thank you so much.

Re: Defining attribute as absolute and relative quantity

Dear Michiel,
Sorry for my late response, but I wanted to check base with my co-authors that we understood the process you suggest correctly.
Basically, let’s pretend I have a design with three blocks and each block consisting of four choice tasks. In this design, I use the absolute price. I ...

Defining attribute as absolute and relative quantity

Dear all,

I have generated a Bayesian efficient design including 5 attributes (each with levels) and using choice tasks with two product alternatives and a no-buy alternative.

Specifically, one attribute is the price the consumer is willing to pay for the product (price of the product), while one ...

Re: C-error in WTP efficient designs

John,
Thanks a lot for this. I really appreciate it. Ok.. if I thought everything was clear, now it is even more clear! :-)
Re the magic Ps, I ran the syntax without the Bayesian Priors, but I did not obtain any improvements in terms of C-error though. However, I “solved” the problem of price ...

Re: Dominant alternatives

Michiel,

Thanks a lot for your help. I ran the syntax you proposed, specifying price not with a Bayesian prior, but as a fixed parameter ("b1[-0.23]") and using gauss(2), instead of gauss(3). Everything went well. I have also obtained a series of designs with guass(3), but I'd rather use gauss(2 ...

Re: C-error in WTP efficient designs

John,
Very appreciated. Everything is clear. Thank you very much.
Finally, I followed your suggestion and ran the following syntax:
Design
;alts = alt1, alt2, nobuy
;rows = 48
;block =12;
;eff = (mnl,wtp(wtp1))
;wtp = wtp1(b2,b3/b1)
;con
;cond:
if (alt1.INV=[0], alt1.COM=[0]),
if (alt2.INV=[0 ...

Dominant alternatives

Dear all,
I have some questions regarding dominant alternatives and repetitions in an unlabelled design.
I have just posted a question regarding another topic (C-error in WTP efficient designs), so the description of the experimental design might be a little bit redundant (sorry for this).
I have ...

C-error in WTP efficient designs

Dear all,
I am working on a CE study where we will present for each choice task two product alternatives and a no-buy alternative.
I have generated a D-efficient design, with constrains and priors = 0, that has been used in a pilot survey with 100 subjects. I have estimated a MNL model to obtain the ...

Re: Orthogonal design with interactions

Michiel,

thanks a lot for picking the mistake. Yes, everything looks fine now!

I really appreciate your suggestions. I have learned a lot!

Thanks,

Claudia

Re: Orthogonal design with interactions

Sorry..

the 12 choice tasks for treatment 1 will be as follows:

Alt1= Irradiated - Carbon foot print label - Antibiotics free - $4.50
Alt2= Irradiated - No info about Carbon foot print label - No info Antibiotics free - $16.50
Alt3= Neither

the 12 choice tasks for treatment 2 will be as follows ...
